Run the bases What is a child’s league age?
The following are the determination dates for league age in 2010.

  • Baseball /T-Ball –  Age of the child as of April 30, 2010
  • Softball  –  Age of child as of December 31, 2009

To what division should a child be assigned?
The decision as to what level a player should be assigned is a joint decision by the parent/guardian and the league.  A player’s age, experience and ability are all considered.  The following is a guide to assist in the selection of that level.

  • T-Ball Division
    No pitching, hit off a tee, one hour games
    1. Primarily for league age 5 and 6 players.
    2. Some players are league age 7, but a league age-7 child who has played a year of T-Ball is encouraged to play either Minor Softball or AA Baseball.

  • Minor Softball
    Beginner instructional league, players pitch 2 innings, coach pitches 4 innings, use T-Ball field
    1. Primarily for league age-7 to league age-11 players.
    2. A league age-6 player may play Minor Softball only if that child played a year of T-Ball.
    3. League age-9 players may tryout for Majors and league age-10 to league age-11 players are encouraged to tryout for Majors, especially players who have played a year or two of Minors Softball.
    4. League age-12 may play but may not pitch and are encouraged to play Majors.

  • AA Baseball
    Beginner instructional league, pitching introduced, no stealing
    1. Primarily for league age-7 and league age-8 players.
    2. A league age-6 player may play AA Baseball only if that child played a year of T-Ball.
    3. League age-9 players are encouraged to play AAA especially players who have played a year of AA.

  • AAA Baseball
    Intermediate instructional league, players pitch whole game, modified Little League rules
    1. Primarily for league age-9 to league age-11 players.
    2. A league age-8 player may play AAA if that child played at least one year of AA.
    3. League age-9 players may tryout for Majors and league age-10 to league age-11 players are encouraged to tryout for Majors, especially players who have played a year or two of AAA Baseball.
    4. League age-12 players may play but may not pitch and are encouraged to play Majors.

  •  Majors Baseball and Softball
    Advanced instructional league, players pitch, Little League rules
    1. Primarily for league age-10 to league age-12 players.
    2. League age-9 players may tryout and play but are encouraged to play AAA Baseball or Minor Softball.
    3. League age-12 players will be assigned to Majors after tryout if no safety issue.

  • Junior, Senior and Big League Baseball and Softball
    Full size fields
    1. Primarily for league age-13 to league age-18.
    2. League age-12 may tryout and play Juniors but are encouraged to play Majors

Registration fees for the 2010 season:

  • T-Ball $40 
  • Minors & Majors $50
  • Jr/Sr Softball $55
  • Jr/Sr Baseball $75

There is a maximum fee of $100 per immediate family. There will be a $10 processing fee for late registrations after March 15th. All children who are registered will play regardless of ability to pay.
